Are these the world’s rarest clouds?

Tubular CloudsNobody knows what causes the formation of these strange and very long tubular clouds occasionally appear in the sky in certain parts of the world, about two miles high. Formations similar to the one pictured have already been seen elsewhere in the world, but never as in the small town of Burketown in Queensland (Australia), which shows faithfully every year for spring.
